What is NPS?
A Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a metric used to gauge customer loyalty. Customers who are fans of your brand, recommend your brand to others, and have shown brand loyalty over time are considered “promoters” whereas those who are unloyal are “detractors.” The score is measured on a scale of -100 to +100, where a score of -100 means your audience is all detractors, or a score of +100 means your audience is extremely loyal.
The average NPS will vary between industries. On average, any negative score definitely needs improvement, but anything under 30 is considered a medium-level of loyalty; anything above 70 is excellent.
We use an independent third-party to survey travelers and track our NPS on a daily basis to ensure our score is accurate and unbiased. The third-party company tracks by agent vs online, and also by which booking tool was used, Concur and Deem.
Currently, we support both Deem and Concur online tools to book through Campbell without an agent. We have had success with both, but one has had a greater impact on our clients.
Here are some of the most striking results:
- About 80% of all Campbell bookings are online
- 45% of Campbell online bookings are through Deem
- Our Deem NPS is 10 points higher than Concur bookings
- Travelers who scored their online booking experience with either a 9/10 or 10/10 are 37% Concur users and 63% Deem users
- Travelers prefer Deem by almost a 2:1 margin
- Campbell supports both Concur and Deem with implementation, programming, and 1-level customer support
